It happened that my friend's birthday do was held in there and oh it was definitely one of the best I have been to. I had the sumptuous T-boned steak served with chips and mushroom and finished it with a scrumptious lemon tart with sorbete and it was absolutely heaven. I highly recommend the place!! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGMOXfTtdiLiWj77GgPLOUQdtZtXsFkN4xSINwyPtliXcs4Ug1M-Bl-sXGeFBFJ-WjlC564BV8ftEO0TGUx8sUjQP6HpNLh7fEDyVIJyjTUiCFTmzWa92AmD0ZygY2UcMU1rFnNshaFAc/s640/blogger-image-713428056.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGMOXfTtdiLiWj77GgPLOUQdtZtXsFkN4xSINwyPtliXcs4Ug1M-Bl-sXGeFBFJ-WjlC564BV8ftEO0TGUx8sUjQP6HpNLh7fEDyVIJyjTUiCFTmzWa92AmD0ZygY2UcMU1rFnNshaFAc/s640/blogger-image-713428056.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvqzh6qAmKX9b76iV7l-sI0S0f1nS4p3FeaS3tfW1Gh0z1hwcRJW04GUV7PgOz3iD15LaT_DytUkey7qsz1GtIVBMciKk2O0pTr2ZxjByYhRb-nhwVZMtk70GTJXOj1n9o53SCY3oYmVk/s640/blogger-image--1616158518.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvqzh6qAmKX9b76iV7l-sI0S0f1nS4p3FeaS3tfW1Gh0z1hwcRJW04GUV7PgOz3iD15LaT_DytUkey7qsz1GtIVBMciKk2O0pTr2ZxjByYhRb-nhwVZMtk70GTJXOj1n9o53SCY3oYmVk/s640/blogger-image--1616158518.jpg"></a></div><br></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07534489576486175768noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3707973797541817053.post-19653031562223371112014-03-31T15:24:00.001-07:002014-03-31T15:24:36.162-07:00Easy vegetable pasta bake<div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyAZ8Q2BrblKxK-PBE_RwUOMNmPwSl1qHGiQR7UnqIx8MLa1KO3BpSn8jPwwX6bL2nLQULsD3IxtZToEMq964WDh1omg2l2Hz4wij5lExddn8-5hNwF5iukuQ5C3XS2TukWa_ndsMiTaY/s640/blogger-image-1888459248.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyAZ8Q2BrblKxK-PBE_RwUOMNmPwSl1qHGiQR7UnqIx8MLa1KO3BpSn8jPwwX6bL2nLQULsD3IxtZToEMq964WDh1omg2l2Hz4wij5lExddn8-5hNwF5iukuQ5C3XS2TukWa_ndsMiTaY/s640/blogger-image-1888459248.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Ingredients: </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">any vegetables you fancy but here's what I used tonight;</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">2 cups of pasta </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">1 bell red pepper (chopped)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">1 medium onions (chopped) </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">3 cloves garlic (minced)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">1/2 cup <span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">green beans </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">1/2 cup broccoli </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><font face="Helvetica Neue Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif">3 medium mushroom </font></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">a pinch of herbs </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">a pink of salt </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">1/2 tsp ground black pepper </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">400g tin of plum tomatoes </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">2 tbsp Vegetable oil</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">2 tbsp olive oil </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Method: </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">1.)Boil 2 cups of pasta drain and set aside. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">2.) If I feel like so hungry and couldn't wait any longer than 40 minutes then this dish is the perfect solution. Healthy, easy to prepare and less hassle. Salmon baked with cheese and tomatoes served with couscous salad. Leave a comment if you want the recipe 😊👌👍❤️<br />

When it comes to roasting lamb, no one beats my husband. It becomes my favourite dish of all time. Last night, he made us his specialty again and oh never in a million times I'll get enough with it. Finest roast lamb I ever tasted, served with his finest leek cheese, baked-roast potato, finest gravy and lovely veggies. We don't need to go to restaurant as we are capable of cooking an even more delish. Well my husband definitely can and that's a fact! Here's our dinner last night... </div>

My loving family took me out for dinner to the newly opened American restaurant in the town. Our 2nd time in the place and decided it is not as great food as they charges. It's like an expensive version of Frankie & Benny - but, quality wise is quite the same. Oh well...we still enjoyed the food. </div>

Dined out with the ladies at Chinese restaurant in Liverpool on my birthday. It was not bad for a lunch buffet as affordable as £15 per person. But will surely try different Resto next time when we hit the big City. That will be in 2 weeks time with few friends who will come over to stay for few days to spend Easter with us. Oh, don't you just love Chinese food? We surely do :) </div>

Since my kids loves my Tinola I often make it at least once a week. They'll love it with steamed rice and can eat almost the whole pot. Well, the 3 of them! I love it myself too. Is it somehow the easiest and quickest food to prepare for them. So last Monday I made them the special Mummy's Tinola for their supper. And they were all happy and exciting when I told them just in e bus what they are having for dinner. Imagine that? If they are happy, I am too! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here's the picture after as well as my ingredients:</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is my lunch today and it is so delicious that I had to have 2 bowls of it. Mind you, I already had my first batched of lunch which was about quarter to 12 and now its quarter to 2 already so I think it is my in between meal food 😀 Here's how I cook this delish mung bean soup from my own made-up recipe and just sharing it in here for anybody would like to try :) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ingredients: </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 cup of mung beans ( or as much you prefer to cook) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1/4 cup of spring onions ( or 2 pieces then chop it) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 tablespoon of red onions (chopped)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 tablespoon of garlic (chopped) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 bell pepper ( chopped thinly) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2 handful of string beans ( or again as much as you like) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1/4 teaspoon of table salt ( or a pinch will do) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 teaspoon of all purpose magic sarap (optional) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1/2 teaspoon of black ground pepper </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 teaspoon of garlic granules (optional) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1 tablespoon of oil (vegetable oil or olive oil) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
6 cups of water ( boil one as it is quicker and you could add more water if needed) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Procedure: </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1) In a cooking pot pour the mung beans and wash it at least twice then add 3 cups of water and bring to boil but check regularly to make sure it has still enough water. Add more water if necessary until the mung beans get soft and the skin are totally peeling or separated. Then check it water are all soaked dry to the mung beans and stop the heat. Then leave it to dry for half an hour or you can do it overnight if you prefer to. Meanwhile, get all other ingredients ready and chopped as possible as it is a quick and easy process. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2) In a pan heat the oil then add the chopped garlic and followed the chopped onions. Wait until brownish before adding the softened mung beans. Keep stirring for 2-3 minutes. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3) Add hot water then bring to boil (approximately 20-30 minutes). When its boiled add dried seasonings such as, ground black pepper, garlic granules, salt, all purpose magic sarap along with the bell pepper. Bring to boil again for 10 minutes. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4) Add the string beans and simmer for 10 minutes.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5) Sprinkle the spring onions then leave to simmer for 1 minute then done! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
6) Serve and enjoy! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

Lately, i have decided to go for a seafood diet. Part of the reason is the lent season and thought i should give it a try. Other reason is to become leaner and healthier. Surely, its going to be a challenge but I'm proud to say that I'm on my 2nd week. Hooray! Hang-on a minute! Have I just cheered myself too early? Oh well, never mind! Its really typical of me to believed that going seafood would reduce this annoying blob hanging off my belly, I don't think so especially when you munch it in with a huge bowl of rice. That is why I'm also reducing my carbs intake so have switched to brown rice too. Well, I just have to do something with my unwanted meat purely because I can't seem to fit all my jeans. It is definitely a struggle, I tell you :( - so I really hope that in a months time I can actually see a slight weight drop. Finger cross for that as I'm still bad on snacking in between meals. Anyway, when I say I'm going for a seafood diet, its literally on the day I mentioned it which was exactly a week ago. And look at my first ever meal on that day...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Shallow-fry tilapia served with sautéed string beans and of course dip in a soy with cut tomatoes. And oh, I had a steamed potato with it but forgot to include it in the picture :) x </div>

I got this recipe from my parents. I remember way back in the province where I grew up and our way of living was used to be selling kinds of sweet breads everyday to our neighbours as well as to the local stores in our town. My Dad used to work at Julie's bakeshop and was Mrs Julie's trusted man to build his bakeries. And was able to get closed to the bakers and observed the way they bake breads. From it, he was inspired to start a little venture of selling breads in our town. He provided Mum a capital while he carries on working at Julie's. I was then first year high school when Mum and big sister started this small living and I used to bring some to my school to sell. Everyone loved our Pandesal (<i>sweet bread roll</i>), Francis, Mamon (<i>Filipino sponge cake</i>) and many more. It lasted until I graduated high school but never really expanded because the profit was just enough to cover our daily expenses. In short, we badly managed the money but I must say it was the sole source of our daily basic needs. When I went back and visit them 2 months ago I copied few bread recipe's. I hope one day, I can provide my parents a capital to start their bakery business again. It is Mum's only wish so I better start saving for it. Anyway, here's my attempt of making the Mamon. It is ideal for an afternoon snacks along with a cup of coffee or cola :)</div>

Any kinds that is! Well, try to invite me over to yours for lunch or dinner and you'll know exactly how I can easily be please. You can serve me pretty much anything from bland to spicy and I would happily eat it. I love green tea! But coffee and normal tea would do me just great. I love seafoods too! And oh, I'm honestly mad about grilling and oven baking! Sweets are my guilty pleasure - but it doesn't mean I can eat it all day! Occasionally, i indulge myself :) I'm such a sucker with anything in orange flavour, cinnamon and creamy! I admittedly used to believed that I can't cook and actually refused to try cooking more than an omelette with the fear that it won't taste good. Until I was brought to lived here in UK and had no choice but to fix food for my kids and husband. There were many times of trials and errors, no doubt with that but I carry on trying until I succeeded. Thanks to my significant other and my precious children for all the praised and encouragement! So, here's a food crib of a trying hard mama who is is hoping to do better in the kitchen. I believed that to be healthy and to live a healthy life is a choice! So, I came-up with '<b><u>Cuisine ala Haze</u></b>' as it sounds pretty to me. It is created today and here I will post my daily kitchen adventure - hoping it will inspire other Mama's out there. Remember that home-cooking is way better than eating out.<br />
<br />
<b>Note:</b> <i>All the recipe's that is going to be shared in here will not be all mine. I'll give credits to whoever and wherever I get it ;)</i></div><br />
